How to remove the glass from HP Photosmart C6180 C61xx Printer
I noticed my scanner getting very, very dirty on the glass, and it was getting dirty from BENEATH THE GLASS.
The trick to removing the part is that while most of the torx screws are visible from the top, there are 3 of them hiding under the front control panel. You have to pry off the top level of the control panel from the left edge, and that exposes the 3 screws. Then you can take out the glass to clean it on both sides. You may also need to clean the black scanning wand if there are lines.
After that, you can also see the screw to remove the feeder, but careful you don't yank out the ribbon cable or you'll have to take that apart to slip it back in.
