- Actually, my figures usually showed the longest living women on the planet are ASIAN AMERICAN WOMEN! - For 2010, the figures were 85.8 YRS, CHINESE AM WOMEN =86.1, so Hong Kong is tops, but Chinese American women were still ahead of Japan.
The decline in Japan is based on the earthquake and nuclear disaster even though the actual number of direct deaths due to either earthquake or radiation was very, very small.
