Nancy Grace breaks Tyler Dasher case, body found, mother confesses

Turned on HLN.... Well the worst case is what a lot of people were suspecting, there was no baby snatching, mother confessed to beating son to death. Looks like this case isn't getting much national press, though it's hit UK.

Looks like it's not the same as the case with the open window and cell phone

Another wierd parents killed child story: .

Dad Drowned Son in Washing Machine for Chilling Reason three-year-old Bastien never had a chance when his 33-year-old father Christophe Champenois pushed him into the washing machine. The toddler died from his injuries, which were allegedly inflicted because he acted out in his preschool class. But the real reason, according to his grandmother, is much more chilling.

The boy's grandmother told Le Parisen that Bastien was an "unwanted child." She reported that the day Bastien was born, his father was "drinking with his friends and told me he didn't want the child." So for three years, the father abused this child until one day he finally killed him. And it wasn't the first time he had placed the child in the washing machine, according to The Huffington Post

UK mail in typical tablois style is on top of the story too. In seattle we have a mother who claims she left her baby in a car when it ran out of gas, sounds awfully similar.

Baby Tyler's father, friends sets the record straight‎ Examiner.com When Tyler first went missing media learned about, and quickly reported that the baby's mother, Shelby Dasher, had sought, and later retracted, a restraining order against the baby's father, Joe, in 2010. StLouis County Police spokesman Rick Eckhardt said in a phone interview Thursday that the public quickly jumped to conclusions believing Shelby's claim that Baby Tyler was abducted from his crib and pointing the finger at the baby's father. Within hours Shelby confessed to killing her baby because he wouldn’t stop crying and wouldn’t go back to sleep, then dumping his body at a nearby cemetery

St. Louis County Lt. Gary Guinn knew he wasn't dealing with a normal missing child case within 10 minutes of arriving Tuesday at the home of Shelby Dasher and her mother, Christine Dasher.
Christine Dasher was hysterical. Shelby Dasher, 20, was calm — not the expected reaction from a woman who had just reported that her 1-year-old son, Tyler, had vanished from his crib, Guinn said.
"I've been doing this for so long, you just get the feel for what you're dealing with when you have that initial contact with people," said the police veteran of 37 years. "And on this one, I didn't get a good feel for the mother. … The story she initially gave us was just bizarre, and her behavior was even worse. When you put those two things together, within 10 minutes we knew."
Guinn also predicted Shelby Dasher would confess to the crime, said Chief Tim Fitch.
    Ultimately, Guinn's gut was right.

"It's the difference between hot-blooded and cold-blooded murder," he said.
McCulloch said the lesson for the community was, "Raising a child can be frustrating. There are a myriad of ways to deal with that. This isn't one of them."
After McCulloch spoke, St. Louis police chief Tim Fitch said the skills of his investigators and interrogators led Dasher to surrender information that led to the charge.
He said one of the first investigators on the scene recognized "rather quickly, thanks to his experience in cases of child abuse, this wasn't a missing or abducted child."
