Who Is Veterans Today?

Here are a number of reviews that exposes Veterans Today.

It is the opinion of this editor that VT one of a vast network of closet Islamocentric media sites allied with Ron Paul, Alex Jones, Rense, WhatReallyHappened, RussiaToday, Al Jazeera and Iran's PressTV.

You don't need wiretaps to figure out what side these guys are on. They tell you exactly who they are and what they believe and who they are rooting for. They puporting to be be pro-American but actually a psychological warfare unit of the War on Israel, along with the rest of the 9-11/RFK/JFK conspiracy theorist.

They always stand up for Palestine, always apologize for Al Queda and attack "Zionists" (Israel and Jews) as threats to the world.. These people are not crazy, they are trying to promote a point of view supportive of the Global Islamic Movement.

Some positions they've carried:

  • 9/11 Truth
  • Abdo Nassar (planned Ft Hood attack)  Muslim Conscientious Objector Abdo was reportedly Facebook friends with Gordon Duff of Veterans Today,

KANSAS CITY, Mo. | A former Michigan congressman accused of accepting stolen funds to lobby on behalf of a charity with suspected ties to terrorism pleaded guilty Wednesday to obstruction of justice, but prosecutors said more serious charges would likely be dropped.
Former Republican Rep. Mark Deli Siljander, who served in Congress from 1981 until 1987 and as a United Nations delegate for a year, pleaded guilty in federal court in Kansas City to obstruction and acting as an unregistered foreign agent.
Charges of money laundering and conspiracy to commit money laundering will likely be dismissed under the terms of the 59-year-old Siljander’s plea deal, said a spokesman for the U.S. Attorney's Office of the Western District of Missouri.
Abdel Azim El-Siddig, a part-time fundraiser for the Islamic American Relief Agency, also admitted Wednesday to conspiring to hire Siljander to lobby for the group’s removal from a Senate Finance Committee list of charities suspected of terrorist ties. Prosecutors said El-Siddig, of Chicago, concealed this advocacy and didn’t register with the proper authorities.
Prosecutors said Siljander received $75,000 from the charity to push for its removal from the list, and that the group paid him with funds obtained from the U.S. Agency for International Development for work it was supposed to have done in Africa.

Prosecutors said Siljander, who now lives in Great Falls, Va., lied to the FBI about being hired to lobby for the charity. He told investigators that the money he received was a donation to help him write a book about Islam and Christianity.
U.S. Attorney Beth Phillips said in a statement Wednesday that Siljander engaged in illegal lobbying for the charity, then used his own charities to hide the payments.
Siljander repeatedly lied to FBI agents and prosecutors investigating serious crimes related to national security,” she said.
The charges are part of a long-running case against the charity, which was based in Columbia, Mo., before it was designated in 2004 by the Treasury Department as a suspected fundraiser for terrorists.

The organization has long denied charges that it has financed terrorists.

Mark Deli Siljander (born June 11, 1951) is a former Republican U.S. Representative and deputyUnited Nations ambassador from the state of Michigan who was convicted of obstruction of justice and acting as an unregistered foreign agent related to his work for an Islamic charity with ties to international terrorism. Siljander pleaded guilty to the charges in Federal court on July 7, 2010.

2008 indictment

On January 16, 2008, Siljander was indicted in the United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri on five counts including money launderingconspiracy and obstruction of justice.[32][33] As part of the same investigation, several supporters of the Islamic American Relief Agency,[34] a United Nations NGO (Non Governmental Organization)[35] were indicted for raising funds that were allegedly sent to Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, whom the United States has later designated as a global terrorist. The indictment claims that the money, sent to bank accounts inPeshawarPakistan in 2003 and 2004, was masked as donations to an orphanage located in buildings that Hekmatyar owned. Hekmatyar, a long time CIA and US ally, is believed to be working in combination with the US backed government of Pakistan:[36][37]
Those under indictment in related investigations face 42 counts on charges of money launderingconspiracy, and obstruction of justice and material support of terrorism. The Islamic American Relief Agency is a 25 year old charity that had been receiving support from the US government for many years and been openly supported by Washington insiders until the listed indictments were filed.[38][39][40][41]
Siljander himself faces only five counts, none of which are related to terrorism and are confined to money laundering, obstruction and conspiracy related to accusations of lobbying. Siljander alleges that his lobbying consisted of using USAID funds to subsidize the writing of his book[42] intended to provide strategies to undermine the influence of Islamic extremism.[43]
The indictments against IARA members other than Siljander are based on allegations of underlying crime stemming from a Ziyad Khaleel, who served as a regional manager for the charity in question as early as 96 and is said to have purchased a satellite phone for Bin Laden. Even though Khaleel was believed to be associated with the charity according to the FBI and to have been a terrorist supporter, it took over four years for the US Government decide to blacklist the IARA and cut off U.S. government funding.[44][45]
"It's not clear whether Siljander ever engaged in the lobbying push," said John Wood, U.S. attorney in Kansas City.[46] Nevertheless, IARA paid Siljander with money that was part of U.S. government funding awarded to the charity years earlier for relief work it promised to perform in Africa, the indictment says.[46] Prosecutors initially alleged that Siljander was paid $50,000 by the Islamic American Relief Agency for acting as a lobbyist, money that was assigned by the U.S. Agency for International Development for other unnamed tasks. On January 28, 2008, Siljander appeared for a brief hearing in Kansas City, Missouri and pleaded not guilty in Federal court before a U.S. Magistrate Judge.[47]
In 2009, Siljander, whose daughter is currently deployed in the Middle East,[22] joined Gold Star, Mother Amy Branham[23][24] and retired Colonel James Hanke US Army Special Forces, former Military Attache to Israel under Ambassador Thomas Pinkerton, as a co-editor of Veterans Today,[25]a "progressive" online publication supporting veterans and military families.

Mainstreaming Anti-Semitic 9/11 Theories

Within days of the 9/11 attacks, anti-Semitic 9/11 conspiracy theories began appearing in the United States and abroad. In the Middle East, Al-Manar, a Lebanese television station linked to Hezbollah, was one of the main sources for the false claim that 4,000 Israelis had been told to stay home on the day of the terrorist attacks. In the United States, publications on the extreme right, particularly the American Free Press (AFP), an anti-Semitic conspiracy-oriented newspaper, also played a big role in promoting a variety of anti-Semitic 9/11 conspiracy theories.

Although the AFP is still a regular source of such propaganda,  9/11 anti-Semitic conspiracy theories are now more influentially being promoted by a network of anti-Israel conspiracists who endorse and reinforce each other's work. They blame Israel for numerous nefarious deeds and false flag operations.

Among the key figures in this group of conspiracists are Gordon Duff, who runs the anti-Semitic Web site Veterans Today; Alan Sabrosky, a former U.S. Army War College instructor who writes for Veterans Today; and Kevin Barrett, who runs the Truth Jihad Web site and Internet radio show.  They have become the most popular promoters of theories claiming that Israelis and Jewish members of the Bush Administration carried out the 9/11 attacks as a false flag operation to provoke a war against Israel's enemies.

Gordon Duff
Gordon Duff is an anti-Semitic conspiracist whose innocuous-sounding Web site, Veterans Today, features anti-Israel and Holocaust denial materials. The site also offers a platform for numerous columnists who promote anti-Semitic 9/11 conspiracy theories, as well as Duff's own screeds.
Duff's visions of conspiracy are typical of the latter day anti-Semitic 9/11 conspiracists.  For example, in a July 2010 essay, "America's Tarnished Military Partnership with Israel," Duff asserts that the "five dancing Israelis" arrested on 9/11 were part of a "team of Israeli intelligence agents" who remotely guided the planes into the World Trade Center with the knowledge of "top members of America's military." He further claims that the U.S.'s own security is threatened by a nefarious and disloyal group of Americans who have dual U.S./Israeli citizenship and who control government organizations and private companies.  Indicative of the reach of such writings, this essay was reposted widely across the Internet, especially on conspiracy-oriented and right-wing extremist Web sites.   It saw publication in print, too, in places such as  The First Freedom, a virulently white supremacist and anti-Semitic Alabama-based newspaper.
In other columns, Duff paints Israel's alleged role in the 9/11 attacks as part of a bigger picture of Israel's purported ruthlessness, particularly toward the Palestinians. He depicts Israel as willing to do anything to maintain hegemony in the Middle East.
In March 2010, Duff wrote a column that included an interview with Alan Sabrosky, whose anti-Semitic rants have become a mainstay on the Veterans Today site. In the column Duff supports Sabrosky's views.  Duff begins the column by asserting that "the Israeli lobby' is "the most powerful and ruthless group in the world." Duff then promotes Sabrosky's view that the 9/11 attacks could not have happened "without the full resources of both the CIA and Mossad and that 9/11 served the interests of both agencies quite well."

The basic premise of Veterans Today(VT) is to be a anti-Zionist approach that attempts to paint Israel as the leading cause of all world problems.VT borders on anti-Semitism even though the Senior Editor Gordon Duff claim Jewish ancestry.VT flies under the flag of being  all about Veterans and offering the services and information to which they may be entitled. It is almost criminal to use that makes since  their purpose is far removed from what the name insinuates.

This is little if any references to he information published but there are a great deal of innuendos, assumptions and accusations, all designed to fuel the minds of left wing conspiracy theorists.

As was already stated above if anyone dares to disagree with the established opinions, the comments are not published.Everything has to be pointing into a direction set by the editorial staff. In a private disagreement with Mr. Duff,he stated that it was nothing but the freedom of the press to disregard certain ideas that fail to meet their agenda.

Mr. Duff even went so far as to insinuate that he would have the survivors of the USS Liberty take care of me.If one will notice Mr. Duff states that he is a 100% disabled vet and has PTSD yet he claims to be a constant world wide traveler meeting with the highest circles of intelligence and political figures. He claims to work closely with the US government and US business interests but what entity would place faith and trust in a mental patient.PTSD is a psychological disorder and I don't mean to belittle any person who legitimately suffers from that disorder.

Many of the commentators are regulars that have learned a few key words of hate and Mal content and attempt to paint negative images f almost anybody. Why I have been listed as a crook and nobody knows me other than disagreeing with the fruit basket cases. If what you are looking for it hate, discontent, lies, half truths and black propaganda, then VT is for you.To each their own

This is a website that CLAIMS to be in existence for veterans to find information, network with other vets on issues that affect veterans from claims problems with the VA to what the present administration is doing for veterans. What it is in reality is a politically-based forum that ex-marine bozos and ex-civil servant yes-men use to disseminate their views and rhetoric ranging from Bush-bashing to Obama-worship. There is very little on the site that covers veterans affairs or issues. If you disagree with any of the contributors on the site and offer facts that are ill-refutable to what the writer has published, you are accused of personally attacking said writer and threatened with having your IP banned. You are also maligned for using a moniker on the site for your posts and called a juvenile for not using your given name. Someone out there needs to ban this website.

Veteranstoday reflects the opinions of proislamic militant authors. All efforts to refute a point or contradict a falsehood is eliminated from publication. The views of radical Pakistani writers are reflected, not American Vets. The information published is hearsay and not substantiated with objective data. It is a very low form of journalism especially because it pretends to be a fact based journal when, in truth, it is someone's biased opinion. Poorly written, vague and libelous journalism is what Veteranstoday is all about.
